Snoop Dogg Wants To Become A Canadian Citizen

Famous rapper plans on becoming dual citizen by end of next year

Snoop Dogg has been a vocal supporter of the great white north for a while now. He is currently out promoting his new cooking book “From Crook to Cook” which took him to Canada. In an interview with a Canadian entertainment news outlet, the rapper revealed that he’s deadly serious about becoming a citizen.

Since the election of Donald Trump, the rapper has been outspoken about his disappointment in the direction that the country is taking. In May of of this year, he commended the Canadian government’s plan to legalize marijuana – claiming that Canada was more advanced in it’s approach to cannabis than the U.S. was.

“And in Canada, it’s like — let’s just make it happen!”

Ontario-based Canopy Growth, a medical marijuana company poised to break into the recreational market, signed a partnership deal to hold the exclusive rights to use certain content and brands owned by Snoop’s company, LBC Holdings. Snoop has also invested in Toronto-based Trellis, a cannabis inventory management software provider.
